Working on debut album

Currently is working in his instrumental album, which will be 70 %  instrumental. It means almost all tracks will be performed by musicians, highlinting a specific instrument, like guitar, violin, Saxofone, flute, keyboards, Oboe, Trumpet and traditional instruments. He is the producer of the album, and amongst the performers are Ivan Mazuze (saxofones), Julio Sigauque (guitar), Orlando venhereque (Flute), Celso Paco (Traditional Instruments), Lwanda Gogwane (Trumpet), Galina Juritz (violin), Allou April (guitar and vocals). D'Manyissa  will perform the vocals in 3 songs.

Nominated in the UK songwriting contest

D'Manyissa was finalist and nominated in 2 categories in the UK Songwriting Contest 2015 for the song “Conta Comigo”, recorded by the brazilian singer Barbara Silva. The nominations were in the “Jazz/Blues category” and “Open category”

Nomination in the Mozambique Music Award 2015

The song “Forca Interior” which was recorded in 2014 in Cape Town, and performed by Orlando Venhereque on flute, was nominated for “Best African Jazz Song” in the Mozambique Music Awards 2015 (MMA) . The track was produced by himself, and worked with Julio Sigauque on guitar, Nicholas Williams on Bass and Keyboards, and Texito Langa on drums and percussion. Orlando Venhereque on Flute. The arrangements are collective.

Honorable mention in the Worldwide Music Contest 2014

Received an honorable mention in the Worldwide Music Contest 2014,  which took place in Europe. The honorable mention was for the song “I want you”. The song was recorded in Cape Town in 2014, and was produced by himself. Worked the recording of the track with Allou April, who performed guitar, keyboards and bass. Texito Langa performed drums and percussion. And Khazimla Majola performed the vocals.

Partnership with a brazilian singer

A brazilian singer, Barbara Silva, who is trained in Music at the Berklee College of Music recorded his song “Conta comigo”. The song is included on her debut album, which was launched in 2014. The title of her album is “A tua espera”. The album is available physically and digitally.
